Guacamole

In our house guacamole really just means mashed up avocado with the occasional sprinkle of lemon pepper seasoning if mom is feeling festive... so I'm curious...how do you all make guacamole??

Lemon pepper seasoning? That's different!

I usually add in some diced tomatoes & red onion, along with some seasonings (chili powder, cumin, garlic, salt, etc.), and lime juice. (Or, if I'm really lazy, I just mix in some salsa with the mashed guacamole.) :)

I think guacamole is my favorite food... maybe. ;)

Funny you should ask-- we just made the rare treat ourselves! It's the one thing we love that the kids hate, so we get it all to ourselves!
Our avo's were kinda hard, so we put 'em in the food processor with come garlic, cilantro, sage, salt, lemon or lime juice, chili flakes. Then we added chopped sweet onion and tomatoes. A little of this and a little of that until it's perfect.

I usually just go with the lazy method-smashed up avocados and some salsa.
But, I used to have a GREAT recipe for guacamole with pomegranate seeds. I know, sounds CRAZY but it was DEE-LISH and every time I made it people loved it and asked for the recipe. The crisp and sharp taste of the pomegranate seeds are a great contrast to the avocados.... it just really works. I lost the recipe a long time ago but it was something close to this......
